It takes the force equal to an elephant to seriously injure the Lone Wolf...

To think the Lone Wolf was anything more than invincible is ludicrous.

The problem with being a Lone Wolf sometimes is the fact that he cannot be a contradiction of his way of life. Meaning, the only way the Lone Wolf can continue to wander the earth as a "lone" figure. So, to that end, being a Lone Wolf comes with certain negative aspects of this existence. One is the fact that the Lone Wolf must usually tend to his own injuries. It is a well known fact the Lone Wolf usually becomes more withdrawn from his family and friends the more serious the sustained injuries or illness. To simply state, the Lone Wolf does not like feel anything less than weak in front of family and friends. A thing that may one be the end of his own undoing.

After all the years of existence, after many years of battles, and after all the injuries the Lone Wolf has experience and survived, it took the force equal to an elephant to seriously injure him. And, as he grows older with age, it takes more time for the Lone Wolf to recovery from those injuries. It is a hard pill to swallow for the Lone Wolf to realize that he is not as tough as he would love to be. But, it's okay. The Lone Wolf has come to accept the fact that he needs to get over the disappointment of being seriously injured; And, do what he needs to do in order to become better and stronger than ever. And, to this end the Lone Wolf will eventually rise to this physical challenge. This is way of the Lone Wolf.
